Cracow 1620, in the printing house of Andrei Piotrkowczyk. 29.5x20.5 cm, pp (8), 592, on the back of the title page the coat of arms of Poland and the Vasa dynasty (woodcut), period binding, full leather with blind embossing, in the center of the front cover a blind-printed medallion. Good condition (pieces after professional conservation, restored binding pieces, several pages restored at the edges). Conservation was carried out by the Paper Studio in Torun.
Piece from the book collection of Celinskis of Cekow (stamp on title page). The third part of the Sermons with a separate title page, four pages of the Summarius and one page with scribbled errata are followed by the text of the sermons. The author of the work is Fabian Birkowski (1566-1636) - a Polish preacher, professor at the Cracow Academy. His sermons gained the greatest recognition; they are a valuable source for learning about the thought and daily life of the Old Polish era. Unique in original binding, in nice state of preservation.
