The first post-war publication of Oficyna Warszawska, which was founded in 1938 by Anatol Girs and Boleslaw Barcz in Warsaw, was burned in the 1944 Warsaw Uprising, during which Boleslaw Barcz was killed. The work of the poem's creator, Tadeusz Borowski, Wincenty Mackiewicz, author of the critical foreword, and Anatol Girts, a graphic artist and typographer from Warsaw, began immediately after their release from the Dachau-Allach concentration camp by 7th American Army troops. Printed in the Munich printing house of F. Bruckmann, 3000 pieces numbered. Here Piece No. 2962.
