Oskar Flatt (1822-1872) was a sightseer, wrote many studies of history, geography, ethnography and statistics, including the first monograph of Lodz published in print in 1853: Description of the City of Lodz in terms of History, Statistics and Industry, containing the first eight illustrations of Lodz objects and the first city plan.
