A19th century work on France, containing 64 steel engravings (60 views and 4 plans) based on drawings by the English officer and artist, Lieutenant Colonel Robert Batty, which the latter sketched during his stay in France in 1819. Each illustration is accompanied by a brief historical sketch of the place and the author's impressions. Contents in English. Among the views are: Dieppe, Rouen, Paris ,Saint-Germain, Sevres, Versailles, Lyon, Bordeaux, Amiens.
