Good condition (rubbing at the lower corners of the binding, small abrasions of the leather on the spine, single small dings and tears).

First edition. Translated and prefaced by Stanislaw Janiszewski. An account by Norwegian oceanographer and explorer Fridtjof Nansen (1861-1930) of his expedition to the Arctic Ocean, carried out in 1893-1896 on a specially designed ship "Fram" (Norwegian for "forward"). During the voyage, Nansen conducted numerous surveys of the ocean, reaching a distance of 300 km from the North Pole.
