Rome 1947. literary institute, published by the Navy Self-Help. 34x24.5 cm, pp (96), XXXI, several hundred black and white photographs, softcover. Good condition (loosened block, minor tears and soiling of cover).

In tribute to the sailors fallen for Poland and for the freedom of other nations, and with grateful remembrance of those who made the Polish Navy famous in combat or expanded it from its foundation.

One of the first publications of the Literary Institute, then operating in Rome. Compiled by Lieutenant Commander Wladyslaw Kosianowski, with the help of naval officers, participants in the war effort and experts in naval history. Preparation for printing and realization: Stanislaw Gliwa. Cover artwork by Tadeusz Podjazd-Morgenstern.
