Warsaw 1902-1904. 25.5x18.50 cm, pp. (1), IV, 276, (4), (6), 323, V, (2), 376, (4), VII, (7), 333, (6) [set of 4 volumes], black and white illustrations in the text and some color illustrations on separate pages, publisher's cloth binding. Good condition (ownership stamps, small binding abrasions, isolated soiling).

A complete 4-volume, richly illustrated history of art, written by Anton Springer (1825-1891), German writer and art historian, professor at the universities of Prague, Bonn and Leipzig. Volume I is devoted to ancient art, Volume II to medieval art, Volumes III-IV to art of the new times to the end of the 18th century. Translated by Kazimierz Broniewski.
