He was one of the founders of the group of Cubists, Constructivists and Suprematists "Blok" (1924-1926), as well as the groupings that expanded the program assumptions of "Blok" - "Praesens" (1926-1929) and "a.r." (1929-1936). He was also involved in editing "Blok" and "Praesens" magazines, which maintained numerous international contacts with other avant-garde groupings, including the Dutch De Stijl.
