"The book contains words and images from half of my life. I wrote, painted, drew, photographed, driven by the need to save my own time for others. And although over the years I learned to value mature silence, in the midst of the pressure of life, between necessary work and escape into the woods, I tried to save my own time by making a record. From this a skeleton was formed, on which my memory, together with sentiment, hangs flags in solemn moments of retrospection. Some of the links of this skeleton assembled in chronological order constitute the book. The parallelism of word and image runs in the plane of time. The images were not created as illustrations, although in choosing them from among others and deciding to juxtapose word and image in the reader's imagination, I also sought a certain parallelism of meaning. If the reader sees something third between them - hears the sound of this collision, I will be happy and consider it a peculiarity of this book."
