First edition of the famous diary of Leopold Tyrmand (1920-1985), writer and publicist, popularizer of jazz in Poland. The diary covers his notes from the first three months of 1954. Excerpts were published in Tygodnik Powszechny in 1956; in exile Tyrmand re-edited the diary and the first edition was published in 1980.
