Zofia Rydet (1911-1997) created her series titled "Little Man" between 1952 and 1965, depicting the world of children. In a letter to the editor of the monthly magazine Poland,the photographer wrote about her intentions: "I don't know if I was really able to speak even a little in defense of the little man. I'm afraid that the general public will look at it as they look at other more or less good albums, will judge the photos badly or well, and will not reflect and read Korczak's beautiful texts. If this were the case - it will be my defeat, because I wanted, after all, to speak with content, to make you think not about the photo, but about the problem. "
