Eustachy Kossakowski (1925-2001). In the second half of the 1950s and in the 1960s he worked as a photojournalist for the magazines "Stolica", "Zwierciadło", "Polska" Ty i Ja". He documented and participated in the artistic life of Warsaw and Paris. Since 1970 he lived in France, where he immediately won recognition with his series 6 meters in front of Paris, which consists of 159 photographs of plaques with the inscription "Paris", standing at the entrance roads to the city.Eustachy Kossakowski's work is counted among the canon of both Polish and world history of photography. He accompanied the Polish art scene emerging first around the Krzywe Koło Gallery and then the Foksal Gallery. He photographed the performances of Tadeusz Kantor and Jerzy Grotowski.
